My name is Bobbie, or Miss Brooks, and I am currently a grade 6 Catholic school teacher in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. When I was younger, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I also wanted to travel to other places, become a writer and, for a brief point at the age of eight, when I didn't know I couldn't and was enamored by the chance to captivate an audience without threat of interruption, I also wanted to be a priest.
Fast forward to the present:
The Vatican has not (yet) permitted women priests and my audience has a tendency to interrupt when captivated but I get to share the Catholic faith with my students every...single...day!
The commute to school takes approximately 12 minutes but technology and learning take us places I have yet to be able to visit in person!
I haven't written a Pulitzer but I get to document some of my favourite moments and "experiments" in this blog as a window into the learning that happens every day!
How blessed am I that my life's path has afforded me the opportunity, in however small a way, to do everything I dreamt about!
